Very Important Passengers are normally persons of Title, Heads of State, Members of Government Missions or the Diplomatic Service, or any others designated as “VIP” by Cathay Pacific or Cathay Dragon senior management.

A CIP is defined as one who may have considerable influence or commercial importance to CX/KA. (Normally the decision maker of a mega-sized corporation).

With effect from 23 April 2010, a new category under meet and assist (MAAS) will be added for Celebrities.
Celebrity status may be authorized by directors and Country/Port Managers.
It should be used for exceptional, one-off cases only, where the passenger is an extremely important person but does not qualify for VIP/CIP status.
