Children and Infants
Infant (INFT) refers to a passenger aged between 7 days to 24 months old accompanied by their parents or guardians over 18 years old.
Infant NOT occupying a Seat
Travel agents are requested to comply below format when create Infant not Occupying a Seat bookings.
- Add SSR INFT element with associated passenger
- Append infant’s Date of Birth in date format DDMMMYY (e.g. 10JAN12)
- Infant family name or first name, including space, should not exceed 25 characters per each.
- Infant first name should not have more than ONE space

Passenger 1- Mrs Smith Mark travel with an infant name "Chan Siu Ming" borned on 10Jan12, who is six months old. Her baby does not occupy a seat.

Infant occupying a Seat
Travel agents are requested to comply below format when create Infant Occupying a Seat bookings.
- Add SSR INFT element with associated infant
- Append infant’s Date of Birth in date format DDMMMYY (e.g. 10JAN12)
- Infant family name or first name, including space, should not exceed 25 characters
- In case a occupying seat infant is booked in a separate PNR but travelling with an adult, travel agent shall always denote TCP (Total Complete Party) in the PNR for reference so that seating for the child can be properly arranged. Example:OSI CX TCP2 1CLARK/A MR
- Infant first name should not have more than ONE space

Ticketing and other special service for Infant
Travel agents are recommended to request below service after SSR INFT was confirmed with “KK” status.
- Issue Infant ticket
- Request baby meal (BBML)
- Request Car Safety Seat, Car Restraint Seat and CARES Harness Seat
- Request Bassinet service (BSCT)
- Request Infant Seat (or Bassinet Seat) as below
