Children and Infants

Child (CHLD) refers to a passenger aged between 2 to 12 years old accompanied by their parents or guardians over 18 years old.

Booking and special service for child

Travel agents are requested to comply below format when create child bookings.

  • Add SSR CHLD element with associated passenger
  • Append CHLD’s Date of Birth in date format DDMMMYY (e.g. 10JAN12)
  • Child family name or first name, including space, should not exceed 29 characters
  • In case a child is booked in a separate PNR but travelling with an adult, travel agent shall always denote TCP (Total Complete Party) in the PNR for reference so that seating for the child can be properly arranged. Example:OSI CX TCP2 1CLARK/A MR
  • Travel agents are recommended to request below service after SSR CHLD was confirmed with “KK” status
    • Issue children ticket
    • Request Children Meal (CHML)
    • Request Car Safety Seat, Car Restraint Seat and CARES Harness Seat
    • Child travel alone (UNMR)
