Hong Kong Air Passenger Departure Tax (APDT) Refund Policy and Procedures

Posted on {0}

In accordance with the newly implemented Hong Kong Air Passenger Departure Tax (APDT) Refund Policy and Procedures, effective 1 October 2025, passengers who meet the specified exemption criteria may apply for a refund within 28 days from their departure date. More details are available on the APDT website.

To support this process, we kindly request that all applicable taxes be clearly itemised on the e-ticket receipts at the time of issuance. This is essential to ensure a smooth and accurate refund experience for eligible passengers.

Additionally, please remind your customers to retain a copy of their e-ticket receipt or print the e-ticket image via Manage My Booking (MMB) on cathaypacific.com prior to departure

For group tickets issued by Cathay Pacific via the Online Group Management (OLGM), you can access OLGM to retrieve e-ticket itinerary receipts once the group booking has been successfully ticketed. For details, you can access to OLGM – email e-ticket itinerary receipt quick reference guide.
