Cathay Group recognised with multiple awards at AirlineRatings’ World’s Best Airlines for 2026

Reinforcing Cathay’s commitment to service excellence across premium travel, cargo and low‑cost operations

Cathay is pleased to announce that the Cathay Group has received multiple accolades in the AirlineRatings World’s Best Airlines for 2026 Awards, recognising the Group’s continued focus on product quality, operational excellence and customer experience across its businesses.

In this year’s awards, Cathay Pacific was named Second Best Full‑Service Airline in the World, and also received top honours for World’s Best Business Class for its Aria Suite cabins, as well as World’s Best Airline‑Branded Lounges.

In addition, Cathay Cargo was awarded World’s Best Airline‑Branded Cargo Operations, while HK Express was recognised as the World’s Best Low‑Cost Carrier, highlighting the strength and breadth of the Cathay Group’s diversified portfolio across premium, cargo and low‑cost travel segments.

These latest AirlineRatings awards complement other recent industry recognitions received by the Cathay Group, including Cathay Pacific being ranked among the world’s top three airlines by Skytrax, and its Economy Class and inflight entertainment being named the world’s best last year. In 2025, Cathay Cargo was named World’s Best Cargo Operator by Air Transport World, while HK Express was recognised among the world’s top three most improved airlines by Skytrax.
