Cathay and WKCDA Unveil “Spirit of Hong Kong” New Livery Highlights Hong Kong’s Culture Worldwide

Cathay and the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority (WKCDA) unveiled a new art-themed aircraft livery, “Spirit of Hong Kong – 80th Anniversary Edition.”

The collaboration celebrates two iconic local brands and their commitment to promoting Hong Kong’s culture globally.

Cathay has been WestK’s travel partner since 2023, supporting its world-class exhibitions and arts programmes.

For Cathay’s 80th anniversary, the new livery combines both brands’ visions, reinforcing their shared commitment to arts and culture in Hong Kong.

Showcasing Hong Kong’s creative talent in the skies

The “Spirit of Hong Kong” livery on a Cathay Boeing 777-300ER, inspired by Cathay Pacific’s award-winning “Gallery in the Skies” concept, features artwork by Victor Wong.

Created for the 80th anniversary, it turns the aircraft into a flying canvas promoting Hong Kong’s arts and culture worldwide.
