Upcoming Changes to Cathay Pacific Group Booking Management – Group Request (GSO)

Posted on {0}

We are committed to enhancing our services and improving efficiency in managing Cathay Pacific (CX) group bookings through Group Request (GSO), Group Services (OLGM), and Group Check-in (OLGC).

Effective June 9, GSO will automatically split group bookings into separate Record Locator (RLOC), with each RLOC accommodating a maximum of 40 passengers when the requested booking size exceeds this limit. Please note that the maximum group size per booking ID for GSO requests will remain unchanged. All PNRs created from GSO will be instantly available on OLGM.

Examples of the  GSO New Process :

  • Example 1: For a booking request of 99 passengers, it will automatically be split into three bookings: groups of 40, 40, and 19 passengers, all under the same GSO group ID.
  • Example 2: For a booking request of 45 passengers, it will be split into two bookings: groups of 40 and 5 passengers, respectively, still under the same GSO group ID.

This change aims to enhance both our frontend and backend services, ensuring a smoother experience for all.

Thank you for your understanding and support as we implement these improvements.
