Reissue/ Revalidation

Posted on undefined

Following are the IATA definitions followed by CX. These terms are used in the Penalty section of the fare notes. Please refer to the same in your respective GDS.

Ticketed points

Ticketed points are the points shown in the fare calculation.

Reissue

Reissue is any change in the routing i.e. origin, destination or transit points in the itinerary. Hence Reissue is equal to Rerouting.

Revalidation

Revalidation is a change in the reservation date, flight number and subclass within the same or higher cabin, without any changes being made to the origin, destination or transit points in the itinerary. Hence Revalidation is equal to Rebooking.

In order to collect the Rebooking / Reissue fee, EMD must be issued under RFISC 98F and the ticket must be reissued with the applicable fare / tax difference
