Hawaiian Airlines joins the oneworld alliance

We are pleased to share that Hawaiian Airlines has officially joined the oneworld® alliance as its newest member, further strengthening the alliance’s global network across the Pacific.

Hawaiian Airlines is part of Alaska Air Group, with Alaska Airlines already a member of oneworld. With this addition, oneworld now brings together 16 world‑class airlines, including three based in the United States, offering greater connectivity and more travel options for customers worldwide.

Enhanced benefits for customers

With Hawaiian Airlines’ entry into oneworld, Cathay customers can now earn and redeem miles when travelling on Hawaiian Airlines, while enjoying the full range of oneworld customer benefits. These include:

  • Priority check‑in, boarding and baggage handling
  • Extra baggage allowance
  • Access to nearly 700 airport lounges worldwide, including lounges operated by Hawaiian Airlines

Hawaiian Airlines has adopted Atmos Rewards, Alaska Air Group’s frequent flyer programme. Its members will continue to enjoy existing oneworld priorities and benefits when travelling on Cathay flights.

Stronger connectivity across the Pacific

The addition of Hawaiian Airlines significantly expands oneworld’s footprint across the Pacific, creating more options for travel to and within Hawaii, while enhancing connections to key gateways in Asia, North America and the South Pacific. These include oneworld hubs such as Los Angeles, New York–JFK, Seattle, Sydney and Tokyo.

With Hawaiian Airlines joining the alliance, Honolulu becomes one of oneworld’s key hubs, extending the alliance’s global reach to nearly 1,000 destinations worldwide. This includes additional Pacific destinations such as Hilo (Hawaii), Rarotonga (Cook Islands), Pago Pago (American Samoa) and Papeete (Tahiti).

Hawaiian Airlines operates approximately 230 daily flights to, from and within the Hawaiian Islands and welcomed over 11 million passengers in 2025, further enhancing choice for customers travelling across the region.
